At Trimley St Mary we believe in empowering our pupils through our PSHE Curriculum to become independent, deep thinkers who are not afraid to ask questions. Childrens wellbeing is of the upmost importance to us and therefore we try to establish an environment that enables our children to have a growth mindset while also understanding the importance of expressing their thoughts and feelings.
We value that young people are growing up in an increasingly complex world and need opportunities to learn how to navigate this in a safe and judgment free environment.
Following the SCARF scheme, we explore together the ideas of 6 main topics:
- Me and My Relationships
- Valuing Difference
- Keeping safe
- Rights and Responsibility
- Being My Best
- Growing and Changing (RSE)
We also ensure all children gain a basic level of first aid.
