Mrs C Scott (Chair of Governors)
Co-Opted Governor
Mrs Scott first began as a parent governor and moved into the role of co-opted governor in 2014. Her current term of office runs from 2023 to 2027. Recently elected into the role of Chair of Governors, Mrs Scott comes with a background in financial services with a broad range of leadership experience. She sits on the Appeals, Hearings and Pupil Discipline committees as well as the Resources committee. Mrs Scott’s subject link is Modern Foreign Languages.
Mrs C Davies
Co-Opted Governor
Mrs Davies is a co-opted governor, first appointed in 2016 and her current term of office runs from 2023 to 2027. Mrs Davies comes with a wealth of experience in education, having previously been a Headteacher and Ofsted inspector. She also sits on the Governing Body of Colneis and Fairfield schools. She sits on the Appeals, Hearings and pupil Discipline committees as well as the Curriculum Development Committee. Mrs Davies links to Early Years Foundation Stage and Religious Education.
Mrs H Mackie
Co-Opted Governor
First appointed in 2015 as a parent governor, then co-opted, Mrs Mackie’s current term runs from 2022 to 2026. Mrs Mackie is currently a member of the school support staff and is the named governor for Equalities, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, Attendance, Personal, Social, Health Education plus Relationship and Sexual Education. She sits on the Curricular Development Committee.
Mrs A O'Hara
Co-Opted Governor
A co-opted governor, newly appointed in 2023, Mrs O’Hara’s term of office will run until 2027. Mrs O’Hara comes with a background in finance and will sit on the Resources Committee. She will link with the subject leader for maths.
Mrs S Todd
Co-Opted Governor
A co-opted governor, also newly appointed in 2023, Mrs Todd’s term will run until 2027. Mrs Todd comes with a background in education, having previously been a Headteacher in a primary setting and will sit on the Curriculum Development Committee. She will link with the subject leaders of English, Phonics, English as an Additional language, and music.

Staff Governor
Staff governor- Each year the staff nominate a representative to attend full governing body meetings, reporting to the Governing Body and reporting back to staff.
Mr A Mortimer (Vice Chair)
Co-Opted Governor
Mr Mortimer, also a co-opted governor, began as a parent governor in 2017. His current term of office runs from 2021 to 2025. Mr Mortimer comes from a Local Authority background and is our named Governor for Safeguarding, Children in Care and looked after children, Special Educational Needs and Pupil Premium. He sits on the Curriculum Development Committee.
Mr T Costello
Co-Opted Governor
First appointed as a parent governor in 2015, Mr Costello is now a co-opted governor whose current term runs from 2023 to 2027. He comes from a background in IT Management and sits on the Appeals, Hearings, Pupil Discipline, Health and Safety/premises and the Resources committees. Mr Costello links with the subject leaders for ICT/computing, Art and Design Technology.
Mrs A Winterbone
Parent Governor
First appointed as a parent governor in 2021, Mrs Winterbone’s term runs until 2025. Mrs Winterbone comes with a background in finance and sits on the Appeals, Hearings, Pupil Discipline and Resources Committees. She links with the subject leaders for Science and Learning Outside the Classroom.

A parent governor first appointed in 2021, Mrs Jackson’s term of office runs until 2025. Mrs Jackson comes with a background in secondary education. She sits on the Premises, Health and Safety and Resources Committees. She links with the subject leader for Humanities and Physical Education.

They sit on both the Resources and Curricular Development Committees, liaise with governors, and give regular updates on the school development plan and its progress to the Governing Body.
